Dark Mission(1987)

Derek Carpenter, US secret service agent, is sent to South American by his chief. His mission: dismantle the cartel ruled by the ruthless Luis Morel. His cover: journalist. His allies: the local resistance, led by the mysterious Moira. In the plane, he mets the beautiful Lina, who is heading home after studying in the United States. They get along very well, but the pretended reporter doesn’t know yet that she’s the daughter of Luis Morel.

With Dark Mission, the cult French production company Eurociné, specialized in very low budgets, decided to go (slightly) bigger. In the mid-80’s, Marius and Daniel family’s business was targeting more attractive films that could be sold worlwide, with an international cast. Jess Franco, long time companion for Eurociné, was hired to direct this exotic adventures film, with an unlikely yet rejoicing set of actresses and actors. Careful to deliver some “Franco moments”, he gets the job done with application. René Chateau was impressionned by his abilty to conceal onf screen the limits of the budget. The year after, he hired him to direct Faceless.

In 1984, Jean-François Davy (as Paul Kermann), directed his last 35mm X rated film, LINGERIES FINES ET PERVERSES, alternative version of La Femme en Spirale. Gathering all the stars of the time, Helen Shirley, Marilyn Jess, Olinka, Cathy Menard and Marianne Aubert, LINGERIES tells the story of a female director of erotic movies who looses herself in a journey of female fantasies.

QUEUE DE BETON(“Concrete Cock”) directed by Michel Caputo under the name of Michel Baudricourt in 1978 is a comedy which popularized the nickname of the actor. Richard Allan, the king of French Erotic Cinema, plays…the king of porn… Uproarious dialogue and screwball sleaze are on the menu in Michel Caputo’s (aka Beaudricrout) 1979 classic which also stars Liliane Allan, Karine Gambier and Marie-Claude Viollet.

L’Aubergine est bien farcie (1981) directed by Jean-François Davy (under the name of Paul Kermann), is a delightful slapstick comedy, co-starring Richard Allan. Cathy Duprey takes a job as a meter maid and immediately discovers that her sexy outfit drives men wild ! With the help of her colleague, Mika Barthel, they walk the streets of Paris exchanging tickets for pleasure. this 1981 classic is a rare X film recorded with live sound, allowing you to hear the real voices of the cast.
