Two pioneering films from the golden age of French X-rated cinema, available for the first time on Blu-ray in their uncensored version, restored form the original camera negative.
Pierre Unia was among the first French directors to turn to pornography following its legalization in 1975. He developed a very natural personal style, favoring outdoor locations and authentic settings. Candice Candy (1975), starring Béatrice Harnois – who also appeared in Frédéric Lansac’s Le Sexe qui parle (1975) and in Max Pécas’s and José Bénazéraf’s films – was his first success, which was also distributed in the United States. Also featuring the two stars of the early days of French X-rated cinema, Claudine Beccarie (Exhibition) and Sylvia Bourdon (Exhibition 2), as well as Richard Allan (La Femme-objet, Queue de béton)
In 1976, he followed up with the comedy L’Enlèvement des Sabines, which brought together the leading actresses of the time: Danièle Troger, Véronique Maugasrski, Pamela Standford, and Liliane Allan. Just like Candice Candy, the film features an original score by Laurent Voulzy, who even makes a cameo appearance in a delightful scene, just a few months after his first gold record, Rockollection.
