Paul Raymond’s Erotica (1981) by Brian Smedley-Aston
The story: Brigitte Lahaie travels to London to report on the erotic shows and charm magazines created by Paul Raymond, Great Britain adult entertainment tycoon. Brigitte meets his regular models and the stars of his shows. As she explores Paul Raymond’s world, she encounters many new and exciting sexual experiences.
An elegant, remarkably produced and deliciously kitsch film, entirely devoted to promoting the erotic empire built by Paul Raymond, nicknamed the “King of Soho”. Born in 1925 and died in 2008, he liked to pretend he was one of the richest men in England. Brigitte is personally invited by the businessman to lead this lavish demonstration of his success, interspersed with love scenes photographed with great care, and sometimes unintentionally funny. Special mention goes to the sequence in London’s most fashionable nightclub, where everyone dances naked!
