HANDSIGNED BY BRIGITTE LAHAIE – PREORDER – WAIT 2 TO 4 WEEKS BEFORE DISPATCH

Finally, you can order the full English version of Brigitte Lahaie, les films de culte, which has been in constant demand since its French release. It also includes the DVD which came with the French edition, featuring a master class with Brigitte shot in Paris, fully subtitled in English, and other surprises.

This book is a dream come true for any Brigitte Lahaie fan. Its 352 color pages in a hard cover with soft touch finish retrace the epic journey of the actress through European cinema, from her erotic masterpieces to Jess Franco’s Faceless(1987), as well as her Jean Rollin movies, her silly comedies and her appearances alongside Alain Delon, or Yves Montand. Written hand in hand with Brigitte, we’re having it translated with dedication to please anyone who loves our French Eurocult queen.

Immerse yourself into the incredible adventure of the exploitation cinema of the 70s and 80s through Brigitte’s intense filmography. Two crazy decades when directors, actresses, actors, scriptwriters, producers, distributors and technicians dedicated all their energy to satisfy the eager public’s wants for violence, butts, blood, fun, and often much more than that. We went to meet them all, to collect their words, their stories, their truths, sometimes shortly before it became too late.

Interviews and anecdotes will make the enjoyment for big time amateurs, when sex movies were shot on 35mm, with beautiful images and well thought dialogues, made in a festive spirit and good-natured provocation.

If you like the poetry of Jean Rollin’s movies, of whom the muse was Brigitte Lahaie, you will feel at home. If you have a weakness for French grindhouse movies with malefic nurses, moronic Nazis, or smutty humor or women-cops with big guns, you are welcome as well!
